Trees Planted at Caboose 002

Landscapers from Baughman Enterprises planted several willow oak trees at the Franklin Pursley Railroad Park.  The trees are to aid in protecting the caboose from the sun during the hot summer months and  to add beauty to the park. The park is  located behind the Historic McGowan-Barksdale-Bundy House.

Volunteers, Joanne Scott and Jackie Campbell, are cleaning the beautiful Hall Tree in the Living Hall at the McGowan-Barksdale-Bundy House.  Board member, Frances Lewis is cleaning the beautiful mantle piece.  It takes dedication from volunteers to work in the unheated house in the winter months as well as the lack of air-conditioned house in the summer months.  This is definitely a Labor of Love.
